The Gigas Magna Storyline contains many separate universes, united by intertwining storylines. The story is mostly located on a universe similar to the canon one, with some differences:
- Bitil and Strakk have been fused to form Skratil.
- The Template:Canon have been freed from the Pit.
- The Baterra were wiped out by the combined forces of a computer virus and an assault from the Skrall, Bone Hunters, and Vorox.
- Not all Makuta were killed by the time of Teridax's takeover of the Matoran Universe.
- Template:Canon knew of the Order of Mata Nui's existence prior to the Template:Canon.

Most of the stories involve the planet of Gigas Magna in some fashion, though a large number of stories are completely unrelated to the planet's history and take place in other locations, such as the Matoran Universe.
